Part IV: Escape Velocity or Bust...

After playing out for a few months at the end of 2002, DN went into the studio in early 2003 and recorded what was to be their debut album, entitled Big Bang, but due to the departure of the drummer while mixing it, the project was scrapped. Several new arrangements, however, had emerged in the process and shortly thereafter.

In April, we threw a political party...

April 30th, 2003
opening for Bernie Worrell was a dream come true for DN, especially Brooke, who was invited up to sing with The Woo Warriors for a bit during their set!
In September of 2003, the band auditioned a drummer who was visiting from the San Francisco Bay area. Two weeks later, he played The Flamingo Cantina with the band. Then Dave Kobza moved to Austin and become the 9th drummer to grace Dwarf Nebula in its nearly 5 years of existance. Sadly, after nearly a year in the band, Dave had to move back to S.F. due to complications in his mother's health. We wish him the best, as DN continues to march on!
